PANCAKE BREAKFAST
The smell of success mingled with that of sausage at Ohio University Crew Pancake Breakfast. This annual event was held Sunday, May 8 from 8am to 1pm in the dining room of Bromley Hall. All payed the $5 admission price, while others went above the call of duty and made additional donations. All profits go towards the many travel and equipment expenses the teams encounter through-out their seasons. Both crews extend a thank-you for all who supported!
 

undefinedMACRA and 10th Anniversary

Ohio Crew celebrated its 10th anniversary Friday, May 6. Alumni from all over the country flew into Athens to share an important lesson: Friendship, wisdom, and passion are eternal bonds that tie this team together across the years and across the miles.

Saturday, May 7 the serenity of Dow Lake was interrupted by the 41st annual MACRA Championship Regatta.  The team produced outstanding results finishing 3rd overall. The Lightweight 8 won a silver and a bronze, the class of 2006 won the first ever "Battle of the Classes" and our alumni proved the years have not slowed them down in a face-off of two eights.

On April 23 the team travelled to Charleston West Virginia for the annual Governor's Cup Regatta. After the preliminary heats, the regatta had to be cancelled due to high winds and the threat of thunderstorms. Despite the cancellation, all four boats got out on the water and were given the chance to see where they compare to other crews at this time of the year.

The Team travelled to Westerville, Ohio on April 17 to compete in the second annual Ohio Cup at Hoover Resevoir. This regatta showcases the many crews from around the state with a relaxed atmosphere and nice waters. The trip also included a night at the circus in Columbus courtesy of Aaron White, and a stay at the home of Cory Fritz. Thank You's go out to both families. Results

On April 9 the team returned to Oxford, Ohio after a two year absence for the Redhawk Sprints hosted by Miami University. The nice day produced quality times with the Varsity 8 taking 3rd, beating Miami, as well as the Mixed 8 capturing a first place medal in a 1500 meter sprint. Results

The Start of Strouds
After a succesfull spring conditioning in South Carolina, the team is eager to start their daily practices at Strouds Run State Park. With a dozen novice rowers and a couple new coxswains, everyone is pumped for the first race of the season at Miami University.

EAT SLEEP ROW
From March 19 to March 26, the Ohio University Men's Crew travelled to Lake Marion in Summerton, South Carolina to begin its spring conditioning. While vacationing at Camp Robert M. Cooper, the team practiced three times a day on and off the water.
