Effective October 31, 2005 the employment process will be electronic. Human Resources will accept online applications and hiring departments will post positions at www.ohiouniversityjobs.com. This will replace the current paper process.
Institutional Equity and Human Resources worked with PeopleAdmin to customize the system. Current classified employees will be able to bid online for internal postings and the public will use this system to apply for external postings. Administrative and Faculty positions will also be processed using this system.
Administrative and Faculty search committees will have the same responsibilities for filling jobs, but the on-line application process will eliminate much of the paper handling. As well, the hiring process for classified and bargaining unit will continue to be facilitated by Human Resources.
Awareness programs and training sessions are available. Individuals who normally participate in or lead searches may enroll in a two hour training session by visiting www.ohiou.edu/upd/index.html and following these steps:
click on ‘Enroll Here’
choose ‘Register Online’
proceed to online registration by selecting the link provided
select PeopleAdmin (listed under University Professional Development)
choose a time and date convenient for your schedule
