Testing Requirements
We accept either ACT or SAT results. Students who take the ACT are strongly encouraged to take the optional writing portion of the test. Freshman should take either test by January 1 and should have results sent directly from the testing agency.

Fall Application Dates
The priority application filing date for most programs is February 1. For those programs, all credentials must be received by March 1. Note that the Honors Tutorial College, E.W. Scripps School of Journalism and the School of Visual Communication have application completion deadlines of December 15.
Optional Application Materials
Students may submit optional application materials, including letters of recommendation, an essay, or a statement of extra-curricular activities.
Honors Tutorial College Applicants
Note that applicants to the Honors Tutorial College must submit the Honors Tutorial Application Supplement, which is included in the application form. For more information on applying to the Honors Tutorial College, visit the HTC web site.
